Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift – the Super Bowl love story than almost never happened ahead of Chiefs-Eagles

TRAVIS Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are looking for the first NFL three-peat.

However, his entire NFL journey and Taylor Swift romance nearly never happened.

A trip to New Orleans 15 years ago almost changed Kelce's life forever.

He was 20 and playing football at the University of Cincinnati.

His team was playing in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans after a successful season.

However, Kelce was on Bourbon Street partying leading up to the game.

In the process, Kelce failed a drug test and was subsequently kicked off the football team.

However, his brother Jason came to the rescue and convinced coaches to give him another chance.

Kelce was allowed back on the team, but was converted to a tight end.

Kelce proved to those who went to bat for him that it was the right decision, as he has grown into one of the greatest tight ends ever.

"I owe it all to him [Jason]," Travis said ahead of the 2023 Super Bowl.

Now that he is returning to New Orleans, it is almost a full circle moment.

However, Swift is making sure he keeps himself in check during the return.

"Take me back, I owe New Orleans a little something," Kelce said after the AFC Championship game.

"Yeah, you're not going to Bourbon Street," Swift replied to him.

Kelce is trying to keep up with his girlfriend's greatness.

"I better hold up my end of the bargain," Kelce said on Monday.
