MLB.com : The Yankees just about concluded business the other day when they signed Tim Hill to round out their bullpen and give them a lefty reliever at long last.

Theres not much wiggle room left in the payroll or the roster to make changes, though some options remain on the periphery.

The infield still has one question mark, and while it is assumed that theyll allow their internal options to compete for the final starting spot, theres a chance that they scour for some bargain options.

They wont dip into Alex Bregmans market, even with him still being unable to secure a long-term deal, but if a Paul DeJong or Jose Iglesias is willing to come around for cheap, theyll be listening.

On top of that, the ever-persistent rumor that theyre working the phones for a Marcus Stroman trade is still alive this one may be more likely just because of how long theyve been working on it, but the odds get slimmer by the day.

New York Post | Matt Ehalt: Gleyber Torres took to social media to respond to GM Brian Cashman bringing up a past conflict over where he played on the diamond last season.

Torres, now a Tiger after signing a one-year deal this offseason, was adamant on playing second base still when the Yankees acquired Jazz Chisholm Jr.

during last years Trade Deadline, which made minor waves at the time but was brushed aside as both players succeeded in the second half offensively.

However, Cashman brought the concern up anew on Thursday when talking about the teams current infield situation sans-Torres, and the former Yankees tweeted out a simple response: Still ? just turn .

Thats about as fair as you could be on Torres end walking out of the building, but its clear now that this rift was why the Yankees were never too keen on re-signing Gleyber this winter.

MLB.com | Mike Petriello: Heres an interesting look from Petriello at some of the overall results that wind played in effecting balls in play across all MLB stadiums over the past two years.

While its no surprise that the Windy City had by far the most balls drastically effected by wind thanks to the Friendly Confines in Wrigley Field, when it came to suppressing potential home runs Yankee Stadium ranked in the top five with 37 long balls shortened.

If youre looking for a specific player hurt by this, Anthony Volpe was one of the most robbed with six potential bombs kept in the park over this span.

MLB Trade Rumors | Darragh McDonald: In the latest bit of 40-man roster scrambling, Roansy Contreras was claimed off of the Yankees roster by the Orioles.

This comes after the Yankees designated Contreras for assignment having previously picked him up off of waivers from the Orioles themselves last month.

In addition, the Yankees announced that Allan Winans has cleared waivers after being DFAd earlier this week , and has been outrighted to Triple-A Scranton.

He will, however, still be invited to spring training as a non-roster invitee..
