Michael Wagner hired as new football coach at Peninsula High

Peninsula High has hired Michael Wagner as new football coach, athletic director Dr.
DJ Clovis confirmed.
Wagner, who is a long time adapted Physical Education Specialist in the Palos Verdes Unified School District, has over 35 years of experience, including playing, coaching and administrative.
Wagner will be replacing David Young.
Wagner joined Peninsulas staff last year.
The Panthers went 7-5 last season, advancing to the CIF-Southern Section Division 7 quarterfinals.
Wagner graduated from St.
Monica High and attended Western Washington University.
He has held jobs at St.
Monica, Serra, Inglewood and El Segundo High Schools.
Date set for South Bay All-Star Basketball games The 2025 South Bay High School All-Star All-Star Classics, sponsored by the South Bay Athletic Club, will be Friday, March 21 at Bishop Montgomery High.
The girls game will be at 5:30 p.m.
and the boys game will be at 7:30 p.m.

Kirsten Green named new ECC Cross Country Coach Green, who was an assistant under longtime coach Dean Lofgren, is the new cross country coach at El Camino College.
Lofgren, who retired following the 2024 season, had been coach for 36 years.
