Saquon Barkley's out-of-this-world backward hurdle in the Super Bowl LIX did more than just stun the spectators.

It inspired the next generation of hurdlers.

Notre Dame's Jeremiyah Love is one next-generation hurdler who can carry on Barkley's backward hurdle legacy.

Interestingly, he plans on doing precisely so when the time is right.

"I most definitely at some point down the road will attempt (to do) a backwards hurdle, if the situation is right.

But until then Im going to stick to jumping over people the regular way," Love said on NFL Network.

"Im kind of a daredevil type of player.

Im willing to go out there and do anything.

And seeing Saquon do the backwards hurdle, that really inspired me to go out on the field and try to play as free as I can.

Shoot, thats kind of where I got my motivation to continue the hurdling.

"Seeing him do it on the next level ...
