Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has earned a reputation for being the biggest trash-talker in the NFL and was ruthlessly called out by Philadelphia Eagles safety C.J.

Gardner-Johnson on Sunday.

Kelce is often seen chirping on the field, and ahead of Super Bowl LIX , San Francisco 49ers veteran Fred Warner was asked which opponent runs their mouth the most.

"Travis Kelce.

He talking something crazy," Warner told GOAT Farm Media.

"Peep it in the Super Bowl, watch.

You'll probably see him saying something to somebody." Warner was right, as Kelce was seen trash-talking Gardner-Johnson on the field in New Orleans before Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter broke things up.

Gardner-Johnson made things personal after referencing Kelce in an Instagram story, although it's since backfired in a brutal way.

Gardner-Johnson posted a photo of Sunday's interaction with Kelce shortly after the Eagles beat the Chiefs 40-22.

"Should've stayed with that thick s----," Gardner-Johnson wrote, appearing to reference Kelce's ex-girlfriend in a dig at his new partner, Taylor Swift.

Kelce's fan base has grown exponentially since he started dating Swift, and they turned on Gardner-Johnson with a cruel low blow.

The mother of the Eagles safety owns a restaurant in Florida, and fans of Kelce and Swift started leaving one-star reviews on Google and Yelp.

While King's Grill, the restaurant owned by Delatron Johnson, has had an impact on its overall rating, it has provided major publicity.

Although Gardner-Johnson was called out for focusing on Kelce after winning the Super Bowl, the actions that followed have been heavily condemned.

It's well known across the league that Kelce will trash-talk on the field, and the Chiefs tight end was also made to pay for his behavior in the AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills.

Kelce approached Bills safety Damar Hamlin after Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes rushed for a touchdown, but was headbutted by Buffalo tackle Jordan Phillips.

Kelce wasn't trash-talking after the game and instead made a rapid exit from Caesars Superdome.

Kelce skipped his postgame press conference and instead took a few questions in the locker room before leaving the venue and heading back to the team hotel.

The emotions fueled ongoing speculation that Kelce could retire from the NFL, with the tight end enduring career lows in receiving yards and touchdowns this season.

Even at the age of 35, Kelce still has a lot of football to play, according to Mahomes.

"Hes got to make that decision on his own.

Hes given so much to this team and to the NFL and been such a joy not only for me to work with but for people to watch," Mahomes said.

"He knows he still has a lot of football left in him.

You can see it, he always makes plays in the biggest moments.

Its just if he wants to put in that grind.".
