Dallas Wings reportedly trades for Connecticut Sun’s DiJonai Carrington, continuing roster rebuild

ARLINGTON, Texas The Dallas Wings are finalizing a deal to acquire Connecticut Sun guard DiJonai Carrington, according to ESPN's Alexa Philippou and Winsidr's Rachel Galligan .

The deal will reportedly bring Carrington and the Sun's No.

12 overall pick to Dallas, while sending out guard Jacy Sheldon and the Wings' No.

8 pick.

WFAA has reached out to the Dallas Wings for comment about the reported trade.

The news comes as Dallas continues to retool its roster, as they've traded Satou Sabally in a three-team deal and lost Natasha Howard to free agency .

In exchange for Sabally, the Dallas Wings received Ty Harris and Kiki Herbert Harrigan from the Mercury as well as NaLyssa Smith and the No.

8 overall draft pick from the Indiana Fever.

8 overall pick was then used in the trade for Carrington.
