Battle by the Bay Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Atlantic City High School The granddaddy of all high school basketball showcase events returns for its 30th edition Friday.

Once again, the Battle features some of the states top teams and concludes with the traditional Atlantic City/Pleasantville matchup.

Atlantic City beat Pleasantville 81-58 last year and leads the Battle by the Bay series between the schools 19-9.

Tickets cost $10 per session.

The weekend schedule: Saturday Session B 11 a.m.

Wrestling The wrestling team playoffs begin Feb.

10, so the upcoming week will be the final tune-up for many of those squads making the postseason.

On Tuesday, Hammonton will wrestle at St.

Augustine Prep, Middle Twp.

will host Mainland Reg., and Lower Cape May Reg.

will take on host Absegami.

All three of those meets will start at 6 p.m.
