Whether Hornets fans like it or not, their team seems destined for the lottery of the 2025 NBA Draft.

Only one of their last five seasons saw them finish the regular season with a winning record, and the frequent injuries LaMelo Ball sustains prevent the team from building any significant and consistent momentum toward the playoffs.

The prospect of another draft lottery will surely frustrate fans who havent seen their team put up consistent playoff runs.

However, the one positive thing fans can take from Charlottes terrible season is the possibility of an exciting talent being picked to play for the team.

While Cooper Flagg is most likely headed to the nations capital if they successfully tank the season, there is plenty of talent in the 2025 class Charlotte can target.

One specific player is gaining attention due to one legendary player.

LeBron James praises potential 2025 Charlotte Hornets pick Dylan Harper King James is focused on winning another NBA title with the Los Angeles Lakers, but hes not one to shy away from talking about the leagues future and the incoming freshman class.

NBA insider Brandon Robinson posted a video where James was unabashed with his praise for Rutgers guard and potential 2025 lottery pick Dylan Harper.

The forward described the 66 guard as a special talent who comes from a great family of athletes.

Dylan is a second-generation hooper: his father, Ron , played side-by-side with Michael Jordan during the Chicago Bulls second three-peat run and was known as a sharpshooter and terrific defender.

Dylan is putting up an impressive season for the Scarlet Knights , averaging 18.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.1 steals through 19 games.

Some may question James decision to push the family narrative on Dylan, which may remind some of his son Bronnys lackluster performances this season.

However, its hard to deny that the young Harpers performances for Rutgers this season is the real deal.

With Josh Green not working out as a starter for the Hornets and two of their other guards leaving in the summer, it would be a logical move to pick Harper if Flagg is no longer available.
