Flau'jae Johnson makes feelings clear about playing for 'intense' Kim Mulkey at LSU

LSU star Flau'jae Johnson has seen Kim Mulkey recently smash an assistant coach's clipboard with a 22-point second-half lead .
Unsurprisingly, the junior All-American candidate called her coach "intense" in a recent interview with the New York Post .
"Coach Mulkey, she really just loves to win," Johnson continued.
"She really cares about her players and....she gives us that confidence to be ourselves." "Shes really telling us, if you want to yell after an and-one, yell after an and-one.
If you want to turn up, dont ever let anyone take that from you.
We get that from our coach." Mulkey's clipboard-foray in a 22-point lead exemplifies the 62-year-old's commitment to winning: she's a four-time NCAA Champion and already a member of the National and College Basketball Hall of Fames.
The LSU coach spent the majority of her career at Baylor, coaching the likes of Brittney Griner, DiJonai Carrington, Sohpia Young, and Odyssey Sims.
Johnson teamed up with Johnson to win a national championship during her freshman 2022-23 campaign.
Since then, she has blossomed into one of the finest players in the country.
Johnson averages 20.0 points on 48.4% shooting along with 5.8 rebounds for the 26-1 Tigers.
She was a Second-team All-SEC selected last year but is now firmly in contention for the conference's player of the year honor.
When asked about former LSU teammate Angel Reese, Johnson took the chance to highlight a current one.
Man, that rebounding, she answered on what makes Reese a special player.
My teammate Aneesah Morrow, she came and kind of took Angels spot and put up Angel numbers.
20 and 20 and stuff like that.
Morrow plays a large part in the Tigers' current record, averaging a sparkling 18.6 points on 51.8% shooting and 14.2 rebounds - the most in the nation by a full rebound.
