Richardson, who wrapped up his career with the Vancouver Canucks in 2021-22, told Patrik Allvin that the club needed to surround J.T.

Miller with veterans to get the most out of him.

Flash forward three years, J.T.

Miller had some great seasons as a Vancouver Canuck, including a 103-point campaign in 2023-24, but given that rift with him and Elias Pettersson, the organization had to move quickly to not only salvage the core, but their playoff chances as well or else the room would've blown up.

The Vancouver Canucks will face their former teammate in just over a month in New York and it'll be interesting to see if any bad blood boils over between him and Elias Pettersson or if that will be addressed at the 4 Nations Face-Off when Sweden plays the United States on February 17th.
