Kevin Durant and Devin Booker's reaction to blockbuster Luka Doncic trade says it all

The basketball world was left stunned by the sensational trade between the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks , which sent perennial All-Star Luka Doncic to the Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis, and it seems even players around the league didn't know.
It's been widely reported that even those involved in the transaction - including Davis and Doncic - didn't have any idea the deal was being made between the two front offices.
LeBron James , known for his supposed influence within the Lakers, wasn't made aware of the deal before it actually went down.
Fans were stunned, pundits were so staggered they recorded emergency podcasts, and it appears even players throughout the league found out the same way.
In footage recorded during the Phoenix Suns game against the Portland Trail Blazers , players on the Suns bench can be seen passing mobile phones around after being made aware the news had broken.
Kevin Durant was filmed scrolling on his phone, presumably reading the news on Twitter like the rest of us, before looking up with a bemused expression on his face.
It's been reported Durant was seen saying: "What are they doing?" After reading the news.
Devin Booker , too, was on the bench with Durant and had a similar reaction.
Booker was reading the news on a mobile phone before looking up with an open-mouth expression on his face, clearly in complete disbelief about the deal.
Speaking afterwards, both men were similarly staggered.
Durant revealed: "Yeah, a couple of fans were on their phones in the fourth quarter saying 'Luka got traded' I was like 'get the f--- outta here.' Then a security guard showed me his phone and I seen Shams tweeting it.
Once Shams tweets you know it's for sure.
It's a crazy, crazy, crazy league." Booker said: "It's crazy, man.
I really don't know what to say about it.
Luka being a guy that everybody has claimed is untouchable and untradeable.
The NBA shows you again.
You can't predict it.
It's a business, they're always having conversations about you, so don't think you're safe cos you're not." Durant said: "It's crazy, crazy.
I never would have thought Luka Doncic would be traded at his age mid-season, the NBA is a wild place, man.
If he can get traded, everyone's up for grabs.
For fans and everyone spectating it's pretty fun, I know it's kinda nerve-wracking for Luka and everyone in Dallas, LA, AD, everyone involved their heads are spinning right now." He continued by pointing the finger at NBA front offices, saying the deal sums up the league's attitude towards loyalty.
Durant explained: "Players are held to a different standard of loyalty and commitment to a program but the organizations don't get held to that same standard from the outside, from media members, fans, and we should all be held to that same standard.
"It's a transactional game, there's a lot of money involved, a lot of business involved too.
We shouldn't be shocked about trades and guys moving to different teams, coaches moving to different teams, it's just the nature of basketball.
It's a pretty wild time in the NBA, especially around trade deadline, everyone's gonna be watching their phones, we've got five days and everyone's gonna want updates.".
