Draymond Green sends clear message to Jordan Poole over two years after punching former Warriors teammate in practice

DRAYMOND GREEN has offered an apology over two years after punching Jordan Poole in the face - but sent a clear message to his former teammate.
The four-time NBA champion sent a lengthy message directly to Poole after the former Golden State Warrior had received a warm reception at the Chase Center.
On Saturday, Poole pointedly said that he "loves most of the guys over there".
After the comments, Green posted on social media: "I really am sorry." But Green then expanded on his apology and also asked Poole, who is now with the Washington Wizards , to "let it go" and "move on".
Footage emerged of Green punching Poole square in the face in October 2022 , just months after the Warriors won the title.

Green publicly apologized, was fined and voluntarily left the team - although he did not miss any games or face discipline from the NBA.
Poole had been a key player of that team and stayed for the rest of the season, but later blamed their early playoff exit in 2023 on that punch.
He was then traded to the Wizards in a deal for Chris Paul.

I shouldn't have punched him.
But it happened.
Let's move on." Green then added: "I kind of go back and forth with this.
"I know I was wrong, but you can't call a man a B-word and push him and not get hit, either.
"So, I kind of sit in both of those spaces sometimes.

If anything, I should have hemmed him up.
It kind of was just a natural reaction.
