There is bad news for the Minnesota Timberwolves after losing their last two games.

Donte DiVincenzo has been notable by his absence from the Minnesota Timberwolves last two games due to injury.

ESPN insider Shams Charania reported on January 20 that DiVincenzo has been ruled out indefinitely with a big toe injury, with his foot placed in a protective boot.

Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo is out indefinitely due to left big toe injury and will receive additional opinion, sources tell ESPN.

DiVincenzos foot has been placed in a boot.

He was averaging 17.5 points, 4.7 assists, 42% shooting on 3s as a starter in last 6 games.

While the timeline is fluid, it does not sound like he will be making a return any time imminently.

Charania said: Im told this could be several weeks, or it could be months for Donte DiVincenzo .

He noted how DiVincenzo had been playing well statistically in the six games before his injury, having been promoted into the starting line-up , after Mike Conley was moved to the bench .

Charania added: Last season the Knicks really took off in the playoffs after they moved him into the starting line-up, just like what happened with Minnesota.

Minnesota Timberwolves re-adjusting The Minnesota Timberwolves have lost their last two games, against two top teams, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Memphis Grizzlies.

Mike Conley was back in the starting line-up despite more recent criticism that he is past it .

Naz Reid put up 29 points against the Grizzlies, with fans calling for him to be installed as a starter .

While rookie prospect Rob Dillingham scored 15 points in 17 minutes, commenting that he is feeling confident , and they have been urged to give him more substantial playing time .

Next up for the 21-20 team is a trip to the Dallas Mavericks, who have lost three of their last four .
