OU and OSU ranked No. 3 and No. 4 in Softball America preseason poll

The Oklahoma and Oklahoma State softball teams were both ranked in the top four of the Softball America preseason top 25 poll released Monday, but the four-time defending champion Sooners find themselves third behind a pair of Southeastern Conference rivals as they begin the quest for a fifth straight title.
Florida and Texas took the No.
1 and No.
2 positions in the poll, among 10 total SEC teams in the rankings.
OSU is the leading Big 12 school at No.
4, ahead of No.
9 Texas Tech, No.
14 Arizona and No.
16 Baylor.
The Big Ten and ACC each placed five teams in the rankings, and No.
20 Liberty represents Conference USA as the only school outside the power conferences in the top 25.
The Sooners open their title defense on Feb.
6 with a pair of games in San Diego, meeting California State Northridge and San Diego State to begin a six-game road trip in California.
