With the February 6th NBA trade deadline approaching, trade rumors are heating up.

The Boston Celtics arent expected to make a major move, however, a depth trade looks like it could be in the cards.

Possible Celtics trade targets range from attainable veterans who could boost their bench to intriguing yet less likely young players.

Lets dive into some trade targets for the Celtics.

5 Trade Targets for the Boston Celtics As a second-apron team, the Celtics have limited options at the deadline.

Heres a list of the restrictions they are working with: Boston cant aggregate contracts in trades.

They cant send cash in trades.

Boston must send out more salary than they receive.

They cant trade a first-round pick seven years in the future, and that pick falls to the bottom of the first round if they are over the second apron at least twice in a four-season span.

Consequently, the Celtics will be targeting players on minimum or rookie contracts.

The Celtics main trade pieces include Jaden Springer , Xavier Tillman , Jordan Walsh , and future draft picks.

Boston is most likely to target wing depth at the trade deadline.

Javonte Green Javonte Green has long been considered one of the Celtics top trade targets in a reunion scenario.

The 6-foot-4 wing would give the Celtics a nice spark off the bench, providing the team with some bench depth, defense, and athleticism.

With the Celtics looking to land another wing who could play spot minutes, Green is a logical target.

This season, Green is averaging 6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and .8 assists on 46.4/38.5/76.5 shooting splits.

As a finisher who can space the floor a little and plays defense, Greens versatile skill set makes him an ideal fit for the Celtics.

Green is especially impactful as a defender.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope 10.

As the New Orleans Pelicans look to bottom out Green could very well be traded.

Given recent rumors and reports, Green feels like the player the Celtics are most likely to trade for.

Torrey Craig Veteran wing Torrey Craig would give the Celtics some extra depth and floor spacing.

The 34-year-old has only appeared in nine games this season and is currently sidelined with a leg injury.

Craig doesnt fit the Bulls timeline and could be moved for a cheap price.

His one-year $2.8 million contract makes him an attainable target for the Celtics.

Craig is a career 35.5 percent three-point shooter (37.3 percent in the last four seasons), in the Celtics system, he could thrive as a catch-and-shoot threat.

After the season, the Celtics could let Craig walk, allowing more minutes for Jordan Walsh and Baylor Scheierman .

However, for the rest of this season, Craig could provide the Celtics with some needed spot wing minutes.

Daniel Theis Another name who has been linked to the Celtics in a potential reunion is Daniel Theis .

The 6-foot-8 center has had two stints with Boston, the first being from 2017-2021, before making a short return in 2022.

If the Celtics want to add another center, Theis is a realistic player to add, especially considering his one-year $2 million contract.

Theis is posting averages of 4.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists on 49.2/25.7/82.9 shooting splits.

The 32-year-old is only averaging 16.5 minutes on a 12-32 Pelicans team and likely wouldnt crack the Celtics rotation, however, as a pure depth piece Theis is a solid option.

Vince Williams Jr.

Memphis Grizzlies wing Vince Williams Jr.

could be an underrated trade target at the deadline.

Williams is a versatile 24-year-old wing who could provide the Celtics with quality minutes.

This season, Williams has been dealing with injuries, he has only appeared in three games so far and last played in November.

In these three games, Williams has only averaged 5.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.

The Grizzlies are one of the deepest teams in the league; they particularly have a lot of wing depth, making a Williams trade possible.

He is under contract for the next two seasons with a deal under $3 million annually and a team option in the third year, this team-friendly contract should further entice the Celtics.

is the versatile swingman MEM has needed...

Most elite trait is defensephysical, 611.5 wingspan & reads offenses like a safety.

Not a total stiff offensively, nice decision maker/passer/transition pace pusher.

Williams is a well-rounded player who can create his shot, space the floor, rebound, defend, and playmake.

He would be the perfect wing to bolster the Celtics bench.

Considering the potential Williams showed last season, the Grizzlies might be hesitant to trade him.

However, the Grizzlies are so deep they will certainly at least consider offers for Williams.

If the Grizzlies dont want to trade Williams, Boston should ask about his teammate Jake LaRavia.

Ultimately, Williams is a high-end yet ideal trade target for the Celtics.

Walker Kessler Third-year big man Walker Kessler is a coveted trade target across the league.

Recently, Kessler has been floating around as a trade target for the Celtics.

Kessler is an elite rim protector and interior presence; he would provide the Celtics with some additional center depth.

Adding a young center isnt a bad idea, considering Al Horford s age and Kristaps Porzingis injury history.

On the season, Kessler is averaging 11.1 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks.

Impressively, Kesslers 2.5 blocks rank second in the league.

While Kessler would be a fit nicely with the Celtics, he seems like an unrealistic target.

Amid a rebuild, the Utah Jazz dont have many keepers, so trading away one of their better young players would be surprising.

Furthermore, Danny Ainge notoriously has a high asking price for his players, so Kessler is likely outside of the Celtics price range.

The Celtics could possibly use another big man, but Porzingis and Horford occupy a ton of minutes, making the need for Kessler more minimal.

Overall, Kessler is a dream target for the Celtics, while hes an intriguing fit, it would be shocking if they landed him.
