Blair Academy (NJ) 74, Hill School 39 Hill fell into a 36-9 halftime hole and were unable to climb out as Blair raced to a dominant home Mid-Atlantic Prep League victory, dropping the Blues to 4-13 this season.
Boys Basketball Blair Academy (NJ) 75, Hill School 65 Hill trailed by 16 points at halftime at Mid-Atlantic Prep League rival Blair Academy before rallying within a single point with under five minutes to play.
Blair made more plays down the stretch to snap the Blues seven-game win streak.
Hill fell to 13-4 overall.
Boys Indoor Track 2025 Bears High School Invitational (Ursinus College): Phoenixville: Cameron English emerged victorious in the shot put event for the Phantoms with a distance of 50 feet, 8.25 inches.
Peter Gibson placed second in the triple jump (41-10.75) and was followed three places behind by teammate Nate Stackhouse (39-8.25).
Gibson also nabbed a sixth-place finish in the long jump (19-7.5), while the schools 4800 relay team finished in seventh place with a time of 9:45.12.
Pottstown: Arman Thorpe finished in fifth place in the 55-meter hurdles, with teammate Aaron Williams placing one spot behind him in sixth.
Alejandro Suber registered a sixth-place finish in the 800-meter run (2:14.19), while Pottstowns 4400 relay team took fifth place (3:51.94).
Girls Indoor Track 2025 Bears High School Invitational (Ursinus College): Phoenixville: Kaycie Hodges placed first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.73, and teammate Maraya Wilson finished two places behind at 26.96 seconds.
Wilson (7.47) and Hodges (7.56) were third and fifth, respectively, in the 55 dash.
The Phantoms 4400 relay squad raced to an eighth-place finish in 4:58.51.
In field events, Maggie Daly won the triple jump (35-1.5) and was second in the long jump (16-7.25).
Lily Newcomb took third in the high jump (4-8), and Alexa Irons captured fourth in the pole vault (9-6).
Bowling Spring-Ford 3, Perkiomen Valley 1 (boys) Chase Hanson (205.3) and Zack Uba (203.7) each posted three-game averages above 200 to help the Rams get by Perk Valley on Wednesday.
TJ Waltemyer (199.3), Nick Platchek (199.0) and Declan Bromirski (177.3) also made solid contributions to the Spring-Ford triumph.
Waltemyer had the high game on the day, rolling a 248 in his third and final go-round.
The Rams ended the day with a plus-187 mark in total pins.
Andrew Arnold led both teams with a three-game average of 206.3 He was followed by Ryan Bodge (195.7), Noah Lawler (181.0), Skyler Lupo (176.0) and Connor Sarapuu (163.3)..
