Quinn Ewers makes feelings clear on Ohio State as he prepares for awkward Ryan Day reunion

Quinn Ewers will face Ohio State for the first time since transferring to Texas, and the stakes could not be much higher with a place in the College Football Playoff national championship game on the line.
The Longhorns take on the Buckeyes at AT&T Stadium home of the Dallas Cowboys on Friday night, with Ewers having the chance to claim bragging rights over the team he once called home.
Ewers, the top recruit in the 2022 class, enrolled at Ohio State (12-2) a year early having been impressed by Ryan Day and his coaching staff.
But Ewers, who had initially committed to Texas before flipping to the Buckeyes, played just two snaps as CJ Stroud's backup as a freshman in 2021.

Ewers and the Longhorns (13-2) survived a huge scare against Arizona State in the Peach Bowl on New Year's Day to advance to the semifinals.
Ahead of Friday's showdown in the Cotton Bowl Classic, Ewers insists he holds no hard feelings to Day and the staff at Ohio State.
The redshirt junior insists he is grateful for the opportunity to learn his craft in Columbus.

Super thankful for that time that I got to spend there.
"I learned a whole lot.
So I dont regret any decision Ive made on going or anything like that, but the main reason I went was I felt like I had a great relationship with the coaching staff, and they were winning a lot of games I wanted to go be part of something like that.
"The reason I came back to Texas was to be closer to the resources that I have and the relationships that Ive built over time just being from Texas.
Ewers has previously revealed that the name, image and likeness (NIL) payments were a big factor in his decision to enroll at Ohio State out of high school.
But he told Inside Texas that the primary reason he joined the Buckeyes was to work with Day.
One of the main things was that the Texas legislature wasnt going to allow Texas high school football players to be paid, Ewers explained.
Me and my family had a pretty big opportunity in front of us, we felt like it was a good decision for me to forego my senior year and enroll early at Ohio State.
I had the opportunity to have some good money in our pockets as a family.
But the main reason I went was I felt like I had a great relationship with the coaching staff, and they were winning a lot of games I wanted to go be part of something like that.
Ohio State is a six-point favorite heading into Friday's game after getting hot in the playoffs, demolishing Tennessee and No.
