Alabama lands experienced Louisiana RB via transfer portal

Running back Dre'lyn Washington has been handling business for a while for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, but now he's going to get the opportunity to do it on one of the biggest stages of college football.
Tuscaloosa is also one of the biggest pressure cookers in college football, so Washington is going to have to bring his A-game.
Whether he can transition from life in the Sun Belt to life in the SEC is a story that will be written next season, but for now, the big news is that Washington has committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide via the transfer portal.

He rushed 92 times for 515 yards and two touchdowns in 2023 while also adding a score as a receiver.
As a senior in 2024, Washington rushed 73 times for Louisiana and turned those runs into 478 yards and five touchdowns.
He also added another receiving touchdown to his resume in 2024.
Washington is a former three-star recruit out of Hemphill, Texas..
