Keep an eye on these 25 Mid-Penn girls in 2025

2024 brought us some great moments on the girls' side of things in the Mid-Penn.

Sign up for PennLives daily high school sports newsletter Trinitys Jayda Gray led the Shamrocks to a PIAA 2A state title, Jordan Byers led West Perry field hockey to PIAA 1A state championship and Ashley Economopoulos helped Lower Dauphin reach the PIAA 3A girls soccer state championship.

Those ladies have moved on and its time for a new crop of stars to emerge.

Without further ado, here are 25 Mid-Penn girls to keep an eye on for 2025: Quinlan Bilodeau School: Trinity Sport: Volleyball Class: Sophomore Buzz: Trinity is loaded with young talent and Bilodeau is one of the top players.

Bilodeau helped lead the Smarocks to a PIAA 2A state title.

With the departure of PennLives Player of the Year Jayda Gray , Bilodeau and the rest of the young talent will need to carry the Shamrocks.

Ana Bondy School: Carlisle Sport: Cross country and Track and Field Class: Junior Buzz: Bondy won state silver at the PIAA 3A cross country championships at Hersheys Parkview Course, stopping the teletimer in 18:33, just two seconds behind the gold medalist.

Bondy, sixth in the District 3, Class 3A race, won the Mid-Penn Conference XC championship by the slimmest of margins over State Colleges Devon Jackson.

On the track in 2024, Bondy helped Carlisle capture seventh-place in the 4x800 relay on the state podium at 9:21.22 collectively.

Bondy was also a major contributor in the same relay unit that procured Mid-Penn gold (9:37.22) and District 3 3A (9:22.35) silver.

Individually, Bondy won the 800 bronze (2:18.30) and 1600 silver (5:07.83) at the Mid-Penn meet, as well as well as a pair of fifth-place District 3 3A medals in the 800 (2:17.45) and 1600 (5:04.94).

Mary Boone School: Cumberland Valley Sport: Swimming Class: Junior Buzz: Boone booked a trip to the PIAA championships last season after placing fourth in the District 3 3A 100 free (52.34) and fifth in the 200 free (1:54.71) following Mid-Penn medals in the two events.

She also currently owns six top-three times in the Mid-Penn this season for the 50 free (24.81, third), 100 free (54.74, third), 200 free (1:56.51, first), 500 free (5:13.20, second), 50 fly (28.09, second) and 100 fly (1:01.25, second).

Sienna Chirieleison School: Trinity Sport: Lacrosse Class: Senior Buzz: Chirieleison, a Syracuse University commit, has been the catalyst for the Trinity lacrosse offense in recent seasons and should be right back at it again in the spring.

Chirieleison scored 137 goals with 25 assists for the Shamrocks last season.

She was also valuable on the defensive side of the ball with 114 draw controls, 114 ground balls and 91 caused turnovers.

Jaylynn Dorsey School: Susquehanna Township Sport: Track and Field Class: Senior Buzz: Dorsey put monumental effort into her recovery from shoulder injury suffered during the soccer season.

Reaping the rewards came in the form of a PIAA 3A title in the long jump with her clearance of 19-0.75, as well as District 3 3A silver (18-1) and Mid-Penn gold (17-7).

In the 200, Dorsey cruised to a Mid-Penn title (25.42), District 3 3A silver (25.39) and sixth in the PIAA 3A field (24.96).

Abby Dyson School: Big Spring Sport: Volleyball Class: Junior Buzz: Dyson was instrumental in Big Springs PIAA state tournament run.

She provided an offensive spark while playing formidable defense for the Bulldogs.

With Kira Eisenberg graduating, Dyson should take another step forward.

Kayla Fletcher School: Central Dauphin Sport: Softball Buzz: Fletcher just continues to be among the states elite players as just a sophomore.

Breaking her own program record for single-season hits, Fletcher hit .600 for the District 3 champion Rams, while playing elite defense at short and providing a ton of pressure on the base paths.

Charlotte Gilfoil School: Central Dauphin Sport: Wrestling Class: Senior Buzz: Gilfoil, a Lock Haven University commit, won 34 straight bouts in 2024 before losing the state championship match at 148 pounds to Zoey Haines of Gettysburg and taking a silver medal.

Gilfoil has an excellent shot at returning to the state final bout again in 2025, having won her first 14 matches this season.

Madison Gill School: East Pennsboro Sport: Soccer Class: Junior Buzz: Gill, in just her second varsity season, took another massive step forward as a scorer and facilitator for a rising East Penn team.

In just two seasons, she sits at 28 goals and 27 assists on the year, as shell likely be a star in the MPC for the next two seasons as the Panthers continue to ascend with a young core.

Olivia Green School: Central Dauphin Sport: Basketball Class: Junior Buzz: Green is way more than a physical presence near the tin.

The junior is coming off a terrific sophomore season, posting 8.7 points per outing with 10.1 rebounds.

Perhaps her tenacity showed best on the offensive side, where she pulled down 165 of her conference-best 294 rebounds.

Once again, the Rams will count on that consistent production.

Zoey Haines School: Gettysburg Sport: Wrestling Class: Senior Buzz: Haines forged a 33-2 record wrestling at 148 pounds in 2024 and avenged both of her losses to Central Dauphins Charlotte Gilfoil by defeating her in the state championship bout for state gold.

Haines was PennLives 2024 girls wrestler of the year and is currently 18-2 this season as she looks to go for back-to-back state crowns.

Liv Hess School: Camp Hill Sport: Field Hockey Class: Sophomore Buzz: Hess followed up her freshman season, where she put up 38 goals and eight assists, with an outstanding sophomore campaign that featured a Mid-Penn Conference high 59 goals and 15 assists.

Hess speed and electric scoring touch helped the Lions gather 18 wins and reach the PIAA Class 1A quarterfinal round.

Brynlee Holland School: Lower Dauphin Sport: Volleyball Class: Junior Buzz: Holland, as a sophomore in 2024, helped lead Lower Dauphin to the District 3 quarterfinals.

Her 260 kills and 188 digs earned Holland a spot on the Mid-Penns Keystone division first-team.

Pragmya Joshi School: Cumberland Valley Sport: Tennis Year: Junior Buzz: Joshis been a hot name on the tennis scene after making a name for herself as a freshman.

She claimed a Mid-Penn 3A singles title and finished fourth in the District 3 3A singles tournament.

She lost out on the Mid-Penn title, but she earned a third place finish in the 2024 district tournament.

Jaycee Martin School: Susquehanna Township Sport: Basketball Year: Freshman Buzz: Martin has burst onto the scene as a freshman.

Shes been a consistent scoring threat and has helped Hanna get out to a strong start.

Sydney May School: Cumberland Valley Sport: Softball Class: Senior Buzz: PennLives Player of the Year had a standout junior year for the District 3 runner-up Eagles.

May finished her 2024 campaign going 17-3, pitching 119 and 2/3 innings and striking out 189 batters while recording a 1.87 ERA.

She also hit .434 with four homers.

Mary Olivetti School: Mechanicsburg Sport: Field Hockey Class: Sophomore Buzz: Olivetti was a major contributor to Mechanicsburgs field hockey success, leading the Wildcats in scoring with 39 goals and 16 assists.

Olivettis speed and stick skills were a force on both sides of the ball.

Autumn Parker School: Lower Dauphin Sport: Volleyball Class: Junior Buzz: Parker is the other half of the sophomore hitting duo that propelled LD to the District 3 quarterfinals.

Parker looks to take another step forward in her development in her junior season Hanna Russell School: Hershey Sport: Lacrosse Class: Senior Buzz: Russell, a Campbell University commit, knows how to put the ball into the back of the net and has been Hersheys go-to scoring threat for the better portion of two seasons.

In 2024, Russell scored 101 goals with 83 assists.

She also picked up 24 grounders and 16 caused turnovers.

Russell enters her senior season with 243 goals and 395 total points.

Ryma Saha School: Mechanicsburg Sport: Tennis Year: Senior Buzz: Saha has been one of the top players in the MId-Penn for a few seasons now, and she wasnt even Mechanicsburg No.1 player.

Shell take the leap to the Wildcats No.1 and look to build on her District 3 3A quarterfinals appearance.

Mackenzie Seiber School: Boiling Springs Sport: Soccer Year: Sophomore Buzz: Seiber has a chance to be one of the Mid-Penns top offensive stat-compilers ever, as the Bubblers star has already put together a standout two seasons in Bubbletown.

Shes coming off a stellar, first-team all-star campaign, scoring 30 goals and recording 9 assists for a Bubblers team that made the district semifinals.

Sophia Thompson School: Central Dauphin Sport: Volleyball Class: Junior Buzz: CD lost 647 kills with the departures of Autumn Henry and Mackenzie Cover.

Thompson, a Mid-Penn Commonwealth third-team selection, will be the main beneficiary from the missing production.

Thompson finished with 197 kills on the season.

Emily Wolfe School: Trinity Sport: Volleyball Class: Junior Buzz: In her sophomore season, Wolfe proved to be an all-around threat, excelling in both passing and defense.

She helped lead Trinitys explosive offensive performances with her passing and shutdown opposing offenses with her defense.

As a junior, Wolfe looks to take another step.

Molly Workman School: State College Sport: Swimming Class: Junior Buzz: The University of Virginia commit is PennLives reigning Girls Swimmer of the Year and No.

1 overall ranked swimmer in Pennsylvanias Class of 2026, per SwimCloud.

Workman won Mid-Penn, District 6 and PIAA 3A gold medals in the 50 and 100 freestyles, posting state gold-worthy times of 22.67 and 49.31 respectively both PRs at the time at Bucknell.

She also reset her own Mid-Penn and District 6 3A meet records, too.

Maycee Yanoski School: Mechanicsburg Sport: Basketball Class: Junior Buzz: It seemed like every time the Wildcats needed a bucket or stop on the defensive side, Yanoski stepped in to make a play.

Thats tough to overlook as a sophomore.

Yanoski is a proven scorer at multiple levels and will be counted on to bring the Wildcats up a level or two after last years 19-8 sprint ended in the PIAA 5A tournament.
