The Philadelphia 76ers could make some trades, but they need to make smart moves.

They could re-acquire someone like Jimmy Butler , but theres no telling if he would change their fortunes much.

Where they could look for help is players who round out the roster.

The Sixers have a solid collection of role players, but an upgrade could be just what the doctor ordered.

However, they would need the right upgrade.

ClutchPoints floated Indiana Pacers power forward Obi Toppin as a trade target for the Sixers.

Toppin, who the New York Knicks selected with the No.

8 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft , has come around since joining the Pacers.

This season, hes averaging 10.2 points and 4.1 rebounds while shooting 55% and 34.7% from three .

Hes one of the NBAs most athletic players and did his part in helping Indiana make it to their first Eastern Conference Finals since 2014 last season.

The Pacers may not mess with whats working The Pacers started the season slowly, but they have picked things up over the past month or so.

Theyve gone 7-3 over the past 10 games and have yet to lose in 2025.

Toppin is not the primary reason theyve played so well lately, but hes still playing in their rotation.

The Pacers could move him, but they would likely want someone whos either a better player or fits their needs more than Toppin.

Its debatable whether the Sixers have a player like that.

They would only want Toppin to upgrade their rotation.

Because the Pacers have the same goals as the Sixers, itd be hard to see the two sides finding common ground.

However, a multi-team trade could certainly get it done.

It would require a rebuilding team selling off their rotation players and looking for draft capital for a trade to happen.
