According to Scott Powers of The Athletic , Taylor Hall is the likeliest Blackhawks player to appeal to contending teams at the deadline.

Powers believes this also makes him the most likely to be traded by the team.

Interestingly, it doesnt sound like hes going to cost all that much to acquire, and the Blackhawks might be open to retaining salary in a trade.

Powers adds: Although his production has tailed off in the last month, hes still close to a 20-goal pace.

As one NHL executive reminded me, Hall is producing around the same as when he was on a quality Boston Bruins team not too long ago.

GMs also wont forget Hall scored five goals in seven playoff games in 2023.

Those things matter to contending teams looking for additions at the deadline.

Hall is probably seen as a potential secondary scoring option.

The cost of acquiring Hall would likely be a third-round pick, reports Powers.

If the Blackhawks were open to retaining some of his $6 million salary, Chicago could get a second-rounder.

A first is likely out of the question, based on his age, production, and injury history.

Who Else from the Blackhawks Might Be Available in Trade? Ryan Donato, Alec Martinez, Patrick Maroon, and Craig Smith were also names that Powers said were drawing a little attention.

Powers explains, Donato could bring back a third- or fourth-round pick.

Donato has only a $2 million cap hit, but its possible a team could ask the Blackhawks to retain money on him.

Martinez is going to be given the choice about where hed like to go and the belief is he doesnt want to leave Chicago this season.

Maroon could bring back a late pick, but the Blackhawks are open to pretty much any return.

The hiccup could come in the retained salary request as the team only has so many spots.

Smith would also potentially fetch a late-round pick.
