Michael Malone reaction to Russell Westbrook revelation speaks volumes

Michael Malone has claimed he would "go to war" with Russell Westbrook as the point guard shined in Denver Nuggets' win over the Utah Jazz on Monday.
The Nuggets claimed a 132-121 victory over the Jazz, with Westbrook scoring 16 points, assisting 10 times and grabbed 10 rebounds in a zero-turnover game for the 36-year-old.
This brought the team's record to a healthy 18-13 as they sit in sixth place in the western conference table of the NBA .
Westbrook joined the Nuggets in July after being waived by the Los Angeles Clippers.
He initially played backup point guard for Denver and has averaged 12.1 points per game.

Fellow Nuggets teammate Nikola Jokic achieved the same feat of a perfect game back in 2018, in a 199-91 win over the Phoenix Suns.
The Nuggets are now 8-2 when Westbrook starts, and head coach Malone has praised the veteran star's impact, both on and off the court.
Speaking after the game, the 53-year-old said: "[Westbrook's perfect game] speaks to his impact and he had a possession late [on].
"He was all over the place, flying around, [he's a] 17-year veteran, 35 years old.
Then, he ultimately got the steal and finished in transition.
You know, 16 points, 10 boards, 10 assists, seven to seven from the field.
"He came in here, this is a guy who's a first-ballot Hall of Famer and is one of the greatest point guards to have played the game.
What I admire so much about him aside from the leadership and toughness that he brings every single day is that he's got no ego.
"He says 'I'm playing with that guy, I'm going to play through him, I'm going to make him better and if I do that, that means I'm doing my job to help this team win'.
"He came here for one reason, that's to help us win a championship, he hates to lose and that's what I also love about him - he's built the right way and I'll go to war with Russell Westbrook any day." Next up for the Nuggets is a home game against the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday, January 2.
The Hawks are sitting fifth in the eastern conference and have a similar record to the Nuggets (18-15) - but fans will be hoping that Westbrook can show out once again and lead their team to victory..
