LeBron James given new teammates for playoff push after LA Lakers are at center of blockbuster four-player NBA trade

THE Los Angeles Lakers will have a new look as they make a push for the playoffs after they shook up their roster on Sunday night.
Star player LeBron James and head coach JJ Redick saw two players leave and two new ones come in as the Lakers try to cement their place as a top seed in the Western Conference.
The blockbuster NBA trade saw often-maligned D'Angelo Russell at the center of the move, with D-Lo rejoining one of his former teams, the Brooklyn Nets .
Rookie Maxwell Lewis is also joining Russell, 28, in Brooklyn - with Lakers GM Rob Pelinka also sending three second round picks (2027, 2030, 2031) to the Nets.
In return, the Lakers receive 3 and D specialist Dorian Finney-Smith, a former teammate of Redick's with the Dallas Mavericks , and combo fuard Shake Milton.
Rumors continue to swirl that Pelinka is not done yet as they look to continue a solid start to the season.

Both Finney-Smith and Milton are expected to immediately enter Redick's rotation and Pelinka said: "With this trade, we are thrilled to add the physicality, toughness and elite shooting that Dorian Finney-Smith will bring to our core.
"We also greatly value the playmaking of Shake Milton.
We are excited for our fans to get both of these players out on the court." Finney-Smith is shooting a career high 43.5 per cent from three this season and is one of the top wing defenders in the league.

But the former No 2 draft pick will be excited to return to Brooklyn, where he earned an All-Star selection in 2019 and will likely get a starting role.

"We want to wish him and Maxwell Lewis well in their future endeavors with the Brooklyn Nets.".
