BO NIX'S dad, Patrick, broke down in tears as during an emotional segment recounting the story of Tez Johnson.

Johnson is an NFL draft prospect and the "adopted" brother of Bix after they became highschool and college team-mates.

The 22-year-old had met Quarterback Nix at Pinson Valley High School, Alabama , in 2017 when he was 15, where the pair became inseparable.

The Oregan Ducks Wide Receiver's father died by suicide when he was an infant and had a troubled home life before his mother took the tough decision to send him to stay with the Nix family .

This arrangement was originally only meant to be for a couple of days but eventually turned into six years, with Johnson effectively becoming a part of the family despite never being legally adopted.

In an emotional video on ESPN 's College GameDay with Marty Smith, Johnson recalled: "It wasnt necessarily the plan for me to stay.

I walked in and I didnt want to leave.

"They took me in from all the stuff that was happening with my bio family, and it was something they wanted to do." After high school Johnson and Nix initially went their separate ways, with the former spending two years at Troy and the latter heading to Auburn.

However, in 2022 Johnson transferred to Oregan to reunite with Nix, who explained: "We needed some receivers because some guys had graduated, some guys had transferred.

He got that opportunity and it was a dream come true.

Nix, a year older than Johnson, is now in the NFL with the Denver Broncos, while Johnson continued to star at Oregan before they were defeated in the Rose Bowl quarterfinals by Ohio State on Wednesday.

Johnson remained close to his biological mother, Shamika Posey, and ensured his mother saw him play at the Big Ten championship game in Indianapolis on December 7.

He said: "Ive got two moms.

I have a stepdad and a dad, so I have two dads.

And I have seven siblings.

"So, were a big family.

My mom is so grateful because she knew if this didnt happen, who knows where Id be?" At the end of the segment, Patrick Nix, who coached the pair in high school, broke down in tears as he recalled the journey Johnson had been on.

Dan Lanning, Oregan's head coach, added: "[It's] Remarkable how that can all work out.

I know nobody can really script it but it feels like its a Hollywood script." First-round games: No.
