HVCC hoopsters earn student-athlete of the month honors

TROY, N.Y.

The Hudson Valley Community College Department of Athletics announced the Vikings Student-Athlete of the Month award recipients on Thursday.

The Dec.

2024 honorees are James Blake (mens basketball) and Abigayle Yetto (womens basketball).

Blake, a Tamarac high school graduate and returning sophomore for the mens basketball program, played a key role during the Vikings 2023-24 season and remains a strong leader this season.

The Troy native has started all nine games this season, averaging 16.4 points per game with 148 points and counting in this 2024-25 season.
