Today on Pinstripe Alley - 12/28/24

Weve made it to the last weekend of the year, with things going pretty slow around baseball.

We did get one splash though, with the Tigers signing Gleyber Torres yesterday to a one-year, $15-million contract.

Its hard to call an eight-figure salary a disappointment, but the deal has to be under what Torres expected, even coming off a down 2024.

In any event, we hope Torres succeeds in Detroit.

He posted a heartfelt message to Yankees fans and the organization on Twitter/X after news of the signing broke.

On the site today, Josh writes a personal essay, reflecting on what baseball meant in 2024.
