Empower Me Academy V.I. applications open

Applications are still being accepted for the upcoming Empower Me Academy V.I.

basketball clinic, which begins Monday, Dec.

30, and runs through Friday, Jan.

3, on St.

Thomas.

The five-day-long clinics is open to boys and girls in second- through 12th grades who have maintained a 2.5 grade point average this school year.

The clinics will be led by St.

Thomas native Jerome Gumbs, who played college ball at the University of San Francisco and professionally in Argentina, Hungary, Luxembourg, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as with the U.S.

Virgin Islands in international play.

To register, submit a copy of the players most recent report card by email to [email protected] , along with contact information.

The clinics will be held at Antilles Schools Mark C.

Marin Center, with second- through sixth-graders meeting from 9 a.m.

to 1 p.m., and seventh- through 12th-graders from 2 p.m.

to 6 p.m.

each day.
