The Boston Celtics have been on a skid recently, losing three of their last four games.

This could be attributed to Kristaps Porzingis, the Cs superstar center whos only played 11 games this season, making Boston rely heavily on depth.

In a proposed trade by Celtics on SIs Ryan Stano , the Celtics could trade for a familiar face, in former Celtic Daniel Theis.

So far this season, Theis is averaging 14 minutes per game, and puts up four points, three rebounds, and one assist.

The total trade would be between the Cs and the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Celtics get Theis back, and they send Baylor Scheierman and a second-rounder to the Pelicans.

The Cs get someone familiar with their playstyle and could be a decent backup, and the Pelicans get a young player and a pick to help rebuild their failing team.

Would this trade be good? Short answer, no.

Theis is already over the hill in his NBA career, and his stats reflect that.

For example, the Celtics love shooting threes, and their whole play style is based around it.

Why would they want a guy barely shooting 26% from deep? It doesnt make sense.

While the idea is good, the Celtics should probably look around for better options.

Someone like Walker Kessler would be a much better option.
