College women’s basketball roundup: Bryant scores 20 in NC Central’s first win

Kyla Bryant (Salisbury) scored 20 points in North Carolina Centrals 62-53 win at Winthrop to close pre-Christmas action for the Eagles.

It was the first win for NC Central (1-12), Winthrop is 6-6.

Bryant played all 40 minutes and had five assists, four rebounds and thee steals.

Bryant averages 11.2 points and 4.7 rebounds and leads the team with 31 assists.

FAYETTEVILLE Bluefield State (6-7) wrapped up pre-Christmas action with a 74-53 CIAA loss at Fayetteville Stte.

Icesis Nwafor (Salisbury) has played in 11 out of 13 games and averages 4.5 points and 3.2 rebounds.
