The Miami Dolphins have been the talk of the town amongst football fans.

That is because QB Tua Tagovailoa left Thursdays game with a concussion in a 31-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills .

Because of Tuas concussion history, many fans and players were calling for him to retire .

Now, Tagovailoa has addressed this discussion.

Read below to find out what his plans are going forward.

Tua Tagovailoa Has No Plans to Retire According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa has no plans to retire.

Then, Mike Garafalo of the NFL Network added that Tagovailoa is eyeing a return to the football field.

Assuming these sources are accurate, it is a far cry from the retirement discussion taking place the last few days.

169 Million Reasons to Stay As most football fans are aware, Tagovailoa signed a massive contract extension shortly before the 2024 NFL season began.

This contract is good for the next four years and is worth just over $212 million.

Of that $212 million, Tua is due about $43 million this season.

Therefore, if he was not medically forced to retire, he would be leaving about $169 million on the table.

If he were forced to medically retire, he would still be leaving about $45 million on the table.

Miami Dolphins Moving Forward If Tgaovailoa ends up missing some time, the main alternative currently on their roster is Skylar Thompson .

If Thursday nights game is any indication, Dolphins fans could be in for a long few weeks with him as an option.

However, if Tagovailoa ends up being placed on the Injured Reserve list, the Dolphins may look at the free agency market to see if any good longer term quarterback alternatives are out there.
