New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is dealing with a knee injury ahead of Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills, and interim coach Jeff Ulbrich told reporters the signal-caller's status is uncertain for the AFC East showdown.

However, Ulbrich also said he feels Rodgers will play.

While the Jets are playing out the string on a lost season, fantasy football players will surely monitor the future Hall of Famer's status like they have at different times this year.

After all, even though Rodgers played in all 11 of his team's games prior to a Week 12 bye, he reportedly wasn't fully healthy.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Nov.

24 that the future Hall of Famer had been "fighting hamstring, knee and ankle injuries while being off and on the injury report." Rapoport added that "Rodgers has resisted getting scans done, not wanting to reveal the severity of his injuries out of fear of having to come off the field.

He has insisted that he keep playing." The physical concerns in 2024 came after he suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in the first game of the year during the 2023 campaign.

Still, he has appeared in all 15 of his team's games this year.

Rodgers and the Jets surely envisioned competing for a playoff spot in 2024 when he returned, but that has not been the case.

The team is just 4-11 overall while Rodgers has completed 62.8 percent of his passes for 3,511 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

Tyrod Taylor is New York's backup, so the AFC East team can at least take solace knowing it has another experienced option outside of Rodgers.

Taylor has 58 career starts and has also played for the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans and New York Giants during a career that dates back to 2011.

Taylor doesn't bring the same ceiling as Rodgers, but he will at least look to keep the offense afloat if the veteran starter is sidelined against the Bills..
