Angel Reese makes Travis Hunter feelings clear after Colorado star's Heisman win

WNBA superstar Angel Reese was among the many athletes who paid tribute to Travis Hunter after he won the Heisman Trophy on Saturday.

The Colorado sensation was named the best player in college football at the ceremony in New York City, narrowly beating out Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty in the vote.

Hunter was recognized for his remarkable contributions as both a wide receiver and a cornerback.

The NFL-bound junior racked up 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns on the offensive side this season, adding four interceptions and a forced fumble as a defensive back.

Hunter received 552 first-place votes and 2,231 points, with runner-up Jeanty finishing with 309 first-place votes and 2,017 points, making it the tightest Heisman vote since Mark Ingram's victory over Toby Gerhart in 2009.

The Broncos running back amassed an incredible 2,497 yards on the ground and 29 touchdowns, leading his team to a 12-1 record and a place in the College Football Playoff.

"I really felt like I should've walked away with the award, but kudos to Travis for winning," Jeanty told reporters in New York.

"But yeah, it's simple as that.
