Getty Images For those who might not be familiar with the prestigious honor, the Heisman Trophy has been awarded to the most outstanding player in college football since 1935.

In total, there have been 89 Heisman Trophy winners.

Only one player, Archie Griffin, has won the award twice.

Griffin won it in both 1974 and 1975 while playing at Ohio State University.
