Penguins prospect Tanner Howe named to Canada's IIHF World Junior Championship roster

Pittsburgh Penguins forward prospect Tanner Howe was selected for Canadas roster in the upcoming International Ice Hockey Federations (IIHF) World Junior Championship tournament.
Hockey Canada announced its roster on Friday .
Howe, 18, was selected by the Penguins in the second round (No.
46 overall) during the NHL Draft in June.
He signed a three-year entry-level contract on July 10.
That contract will not begin until he turns professional.
Splitting the 2024-25 season between Western Hockey Leagues Regina Pats and Calgary Hitmen, Howe has appeared in 16 games and scored 16 points (nine goals, seven assists).
Penguins defensive prospect Harrison Brunicke was not selected for the roster after being named to Hockey Canadas selection camp for the tournament.
He has been sidelined since Nov.
11 after suffering a wrist injury.
Brunicke was also drafted in the second round (No.
44 overall) during the draft in June.
The IIHF World Junior Championship tournament will be staged in Ottawa between Dec.
26 and Jan.
