Taylor Swift is planning to watch Caitlin Clark in action during the next WNBA season - as she repays the basketball prodigy for her support attending gigs on her Eras Tour.

The pair are enjoying a break from their respective disciplines, with chart-topper Swift having just completed her record-breaking 149-date world tour earlier this month.

The "Anti Hero" hitmaker's final show came in Vancouver, British Columbia , on December 8 after being on the road for a staggering 632 nights.

Meanwhile, point guard sensation Clark is also resting up during the offseason after back-to-back NCAA and WNBA campaigns.

The former Iowa college icon is arguably one of the most recognizable sporting figures in America currently - and it appears that she has earned a fan in the form of Swift too.

Among the presents she received were four bags of Swift-branded merchandise, alongside a personally-written note from the musician.

It was later reported that this message saw the singer call Clark "inspiring to watch from afar" as she revealed that she was "excited to get to a Fever game" in the future alongside beau Kelce.

Speaking about the encounter with Clark on his 'New Heights' podcast last month, Kansas City Chiefs hero Kelce admitted that he enjoyed spending time with the basketball star in Indianapolis.

He recalled: "It was fun.

Saw Caitlin Clark out there, got to meet Caitlin.

"She loves being out there in Indianapolis, says its a fun city and were both just true Midwesterners to the heart, you know? Played high school ball, college ball, pro ball all out here in the Midwest and it was cool catching up with her." "She was into the show, for sure.

She was there with her mom and a few friends.

Shes a Swiftie, through and through," he later said, while adding: "[She was] getting everybody to experience Tay up there on stage making the entire 69,000, 70,000 people go ------- nuts for four hours." Speaking in glowing terms about Clark's dedication to the cause, he added: "I think this was like, her third or fourth show shes been to.

Shes a Swiftie through and through, man." Meanwhile, the Fever fan favorite also looked back on the experience with fondness, as she later told TIME : "People are just going crazy that Im there.

I thought people would be so in their own world, ready to see Taylor.

And it was just completely the opposite." Paying tribute to his girlfriend after the conclusion of her world tour, Kelce also said: "Shout out to Tay.

The unbelievable Eras Tour has finally come to an end.

Obviously its her music, her tour but that was a full production, it was the best tour in the world because of a lot of people.

But mostly because of Taylor!".
