Today on Pinstripe Alley - 12/20/24

As I sit and write this while blankly taking in a middling* Thursday Night Football matchup just because its the only thing thats on that I can actually have on in the background and be somewhat productive...
boy, Im missing baseball.
Its a long way until spring training though, so until then, Ill have to live with old highlights and some occasional peaks in on LIDOM.
*Maybe it got better.
Im writing this during the first half.
Today on the site, Josh will take a page from the recent trade buzz around Nolan Arenado and determine if he makes sense as a pickup for the Yankees following his rejection of a potential deal with Houston.
Later, Nick Power will look at a former prized pitching prospect who turned himself into a terrific coach in Gil Patterson for our new Best Could-Have-Beens series, and then Mailbag will answer your mailbag questions.
Questions/Prompts: 1.
If the Cardinals (and Rockies I suppose) were footing half the bill or even 75 percent of the bill, would you want the Yankees to take a flyer on Arenado? 2.
Would you have had interest in Max Kepler for an outfield spot? He just signed with the Phillies and was long linked to the Yankees in past trade rumors..
