Every shift they were finishing their checks ( Luke Rowe was by far the most physical player on either side tonight).
They were also playing with speed and using their transition game to their advantage in the first period when Tyler Madden and Arthur Kaliyev had great looks in transition because of it.
They continued to have sustained shifts in the offensive zone and they wore down Calgary time and time again.
This wasnt a blowout victory for the Regin because of Calgarys goalie Devin Cooley , who was incredible and continued his strong season.
The effort against the best team in the Pacific division was incredible and every player played great.
For Ontario, this is the kind of game they need to preach as the standard going forward and should be expected as they continue to play well.
Defense shined bright The Reign only allowed 14 shots tonight and major credit has to go to the defensive core, who are quickly improving game after game.
Everyone was blocking shots getting into lanes to break up dangerous chances.
Reilly Walsh had the best overall defensive save in the second period when he swept the puck away from the crease and kept it within reach for Ontario.
The two who impressed the most were Rowe and Angus Booth .
Booth had another solid game and kept doing the little things right.
Hes been a revelation on the left side before and after the recall of Jacob Moverare .
Like Jordan Spence before him, its looking like the Kings have found a steal in the fourth round from the same league (QMJHL).
Rowe threw several big hits and was never out of position.
He has been steady in his first full professional season.
Hes a Moverare type of defenseman who doesnt need to have the offensive output to be effective.
Like Booth, he does the little things well but also brings more of the physical element to the table and it was effective last night.
The fourth line continues to shine Lately, it doesnt matter who Marco Sturm throws on the fourth line they all seem to either produce offensively or be great on the forecheck and sound defensively.
The last game was Aatu Jamesn with a Gordie Howe hat trick.
Yesterday saw all three players on the 4th line produce again.
Shawn Element got his 6th goal of the season while Jacob Doty and Madden assisted.
Whats an element hotter than fire? SHAWN ELEMENT #ReignTrain I #CGYvsONT pic.twitter.com/bD0qSXAz0B They all had great chances tonight and Madden was stopped on a breakaway by Cooley.
They were the most noticeable line and when you have players like Arthur Kaliyev , Samuel Fagemo , and Glenn Gawdin , thats impressive.
The Reign will look to have this depth scoring continue this weekend against Coachella Valley.
NOTES: * Charles Hudon scored the game-winning goal.
He has scored in three straight games, with four goals total in that span.
That goal? Were head over heels for Huds #ReignTrain I #CGYvsONT pic.twitter.com/7odOdDTUTU *Element scored the game-tying goal in the second period and has goals in back-to-back games.
He was also given the Reigns conductor hat for his performance tonight.
Elly said it best.

*Gawdin, Hudon, Kaliyev, and Taylor Ward led Ontario with four shots each.
