An offseason addition to the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver room is reportedly expected to miss the entirety of the regular season.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter , Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, who was placed on injured reserve Friday due to a shoulder injury that requires surgery, is not expected to suit up for the Chiefs this year.

He could be back on the field for the postseason but is not expected to return earlier than mid-January.

According to Schefter, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Brown is expected to miss "months" rather than "weeks" because of the injury.
