Joe Burrow has piled pressure on himself with confident claim to Travis Kelce's face

Joe Burrow piled on the pressure to show the have and the in the .
During the offseason, the joined Travis and on a live episode of the "New Heights" podcast, filmed at the University of Cincinnati.
At the time, Burrow was recovering from a multitude of injuries that limited him to only 10 games in the 2023 season.
Still, Burrow remained confident in Cincinnati's chances of overtaking Kansas City to take the AFC throne, especially after the star quarterback helped lead the Bengals to Super Bowl LVI against the Los Angeles Rams.
Burrow made it clear that the Bengals should be a threat to the Chiefs' quest for a three-peat.
"I think we both work really hard at what we do," the 27-year-old said at the time.
"They have great players, we have great players.
I think we match up pretty well with them.
We're kind of built to beat them." Burrow's claim that the Bengals have what it takes to beat Kelce and the Chiefs does hold some merit.
The Chiefs have won four of the last five AFC Championship Games en route to winning three of the last five Super Bowl titles.
The only time the Chiefs lost in that span was against the Bengals.
Cincinnati eventually lost to the Rams, 23-20, in the Super Bowl though the fact that Burrow was able to lead the Bengals to the Super Bowl in just his second year at the helm of the franchise shows he has the right to be confident.
The next season, Burrow once again helped lead the Bengals to the AFC Championship Game, though Cincinnati fell to the Chiefs, 23-20.
With how well Burrow and the Bengals have played the Chiefs, winning three of the last four meetings against Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City, it stands to reason why he believes the team could take down the reigning champions.
As such, Burrow holds his rivalry with Mahomes close to his chest.
In a recent appearance on " ," Burrow explained to Kay Adams what it means to face the three-time Super Bowl champion and what his mindset is as he faces one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
"I think you got to go out and not be scared to make mistakes," .
"You got to go out and make plays because you know he's gonna go out and make plays and that brings out the best in me.
It's always an exciting challenge when we go against each other.
It's an opportunity every time you go against him too because you know all eyes are gonna be on it.
It's always exciting.
We've played each other so many times now." Despite his confidence in his and the Bengals' chances this season against the Chiefs, Burrow still has to work through his wrist injury.
During the Bengals' stunning loss to the New England Patriots, Burrow completed 21-of-29 pass attempts for 164 yards, though fans were concerned with how the signal caller clearly was favoring his wrist throughout the game.
Still Burrow believes it will only be a matter of time before he is back to his old self, : "Still feeling it out, still have some throws where it's like, 'Well what did that look like?' Usually goes where I want it to but doesn't spin the way I want it to.
So, we're still working through that.".
