Penn State quarterback Drew Allar announced on social media on Monday that he will return for his senior season.

Allar, a former five-star prospect out of Medina, Ohio, has been Penn State's starter the past two seasons.

He is 21-5 as the Lions' starting QB and led Penn State to the College Football Playoff for the first time and a berth in the Big Ten title game.

Allar said on X Monday that "There's still more work to do which is why I look forward to making more memories with my teammates this year and beyond." pic.twitter.com/RvIXIErnqu The news comes less than a day after backup quarterback Beau Pribula, who plays as a significant role in Penn State's offense, announced he was entering the transfer portal.

In his first season as a starter, Allar threw for 2,631 yards, 25 touchdowns and just two interceptions.

Heading into Penn States CFP matchup against SMU Allar, Allar has thrown for 2,894 yards, 21 touchdowns, and seven interceptions this season.
