The deals specifics state that the Warriors forfeited three unprotected second-round draft picks, DeAnthony Melton, and Reece Beekman.
Golden State received a 2025 second-round draft pick and the German guard in return.
Schroder has been stellar for the Nets to start their campaign, averaging 18.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 6.6 assists in 23 games.
The 6-foot-1 point guard was the teams fixed starting point guard.
After the trade, the Warriors hosted the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, losing with a score of 143-133.
During the postgame interview, Golden State star Stephen Curry addressed the trade the front office made.
According to him, hes excited to see Schroder in Steve Kerr s system.
Excited to see him plug in.
Guy I could probably play with in the backcourt, Curry told reporters.
Can handle a lot of ballhandling responsibilities when Im off the court and gives us another guy who can attack a defense.
...
Should be a seamless transition.

I dont think he was necessarily brought here to fit, Green said.
We play a certain style of basketball he does not really play.
We need someone who can do the things he does.
Im looking forward to us adjusting to him.
We have to adjust to him because hes bringing something this team needs.
To just make him fall in line with what we do, wed be wasting our time.
We need somebody that can do what we necessarily dont do, and I think thats what hell be for us.

You said fifth?...
Its crazy because I passed Reggie three years ago and he was second and now hes fifth.
