Its the start of a new week and awfully quiet on the MLB transaction front, post-Winter Meetings.

But it only takes one big signing or trade to open the floodgates.

In the meantime, were introducing a new Yankees history series today on the site! Well be looking back at the 50 best could-have-beens across the last half-century of Yankees baseball, and Ill get into further detail on that in the post that will hold all the articles of this project.

Jeremy will start us off with Otto Velez, a well-regarded hitting prospect who could never really break through on a crowded 70s roster.

Also, Madison will issue our biweekly mailbag prompt and well of course be around to cover any breaking news if theres a transaction on deck.

Questions/Prompts: 1.

On a scale of 1-5 with 1 being not at all and 5 being extremely interested, what is your current level of intrigue with Alex Bregman? 2.

As noted in last nights news, Masahiro Tanaka is continuing his NPB career with the Yomiuri Giants in 2025.

With the benefit of hindsight, do you think the Yankees should have tried to keep him for 2021 and perhaps beyond, or did both sides bid adieu at the right time?.
