Rangers making Igor Shesterkin highest-paid goalie in NHL history with 8-year contract extension

The Rangers and Shesterkin have agreed to an eight-year contract extension with an average annual value of $11.5 million, reports .

With that annual salary, Shesterkin will overtake left wing (and leading scorer) as the Rangers' highest-paid player.
