His leadership and vision were instrumental in helping bring a World Series championship to Arlington for the first time, and he is passionate about producing a consistent winner on the field year in and year out for our fans.
Young played a key role in the Rangers winning the first World Series in the franchises 63-year history last season.

Young also oversaw the acquisitions of Max Scherzer , Jordan Montgomery , Chris Stratton , and Aroldis Chapman at last years trade deadline.
Young played for five teams over his 13-year career pitching in the majors, including the Rangers (2004-05).
Last season, he became the first former player since 2005 to win the World Series as head of baseball operations.
Young is also the first to win a World Series as a player and general manager in over 50 years.
The Texas Rangers organization holds a very special place for me, and I am excited to continue building on what weve started here, said Young.
While the opportunity to be a part of a World Series Championship in my hometown was a tremendous thrill, our goal is to field a club that can contend for playoff berths every season.
Im grateful to Ray Davis for the trust hes placed in me, and Im confident well be successful on this mission.
Our fans deserve nothing less.
Despite a disappointing 2024 campaign, this multi-year extension reflects the Rangers confidence in Young to lead the franchise moving forward.
