Stat leaders: OSU, Bryce Thompson 15 pts., 4 asts.; Abou Ousmane 13 pts.; TU, Dwon Odom 12 pts., 5 rebs.
Story of the game: OSU turned three straight turnovers into layups in the final seconds of the first half, six of the 32 points the Cowboys scored on turnovers as it pulled away in the final 20 minutes.
OSU shot just eight 3-pointers its fewest of the season by 12.
Thats because it dominated inside, scoring 48 of its 76 points in the paint.
Record: OSU 5-2, TU 4-5 Quotable: We allowed them to play in transition an awful lot.
Our turnovers, 22 of them, 32 results in points really ignited them.
And that was the difference in the game.
Tulsa coach Eric Konkol We played at the rim all night long, and thats what we need to do.
I was proud of their discipline of not shooting open 3s when we didnt want to shoot a bunch of 3s.

Perhaps OSU fans didnt realize the meaning of Thompsons departure, but the former Booker T.
Washington star certainly did.
Likely playing his final game in Tulsa, Thompson led all scorers with 15 points and tied a career high with four steals as OSU rolled past the Hurricane 76-55.
I love being from Tulsa, Thompson said.
Theres a lot of love here, a lot of great players, a lot of great coaches across all sports.
I hate we had to win tonight, but it was all love for Oklahoma.
Thompsons dad Rod, who played at TU in the late 1990s, was decked out in Cowboy black and orange.
Bryce said his dad probably took, north of 100 photos during the game.
Bryce provided plenty of photogenic moments.
He was 5-of-11 from the field and a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line.
He had four assists to go with his four steals.
The only thing he didnt do attempt a 3-pointer, something he had done 377 times previously in his college career.
Its a special moment for him, Bryce said of his dad.
He played here, and this was probably my last time playing in this building, so it was pretty special.
First-year Cowboys coach Steve Lutz was less focused on Thompson's homecoming than he was with his teams workman-like performance.
OSU had 48 of its 76 points in the paint and got out running often by forcing 22 TU turnovers.
Three other Cowboys joined Thompson in double figures, led by 13 from Abou Ousmane.
As a team, OSU shot 49.2% from the field.
We dont ever talk about individuals a whole bunch, Lutz said.
We talk more about the team, and I was getting on him and his teammates this week about their defense.
I was happy to see him play well.
I was happy to see him get some baskets down the stretch.
I thought his defense was good, and he was locked in for the team.
TU was locked down much of the night.
It took its last lead at 17-15 with 7:26 left in the first half, but were undone by turnovers three straight to end the first half and enough in the second half to turn stretches of the game into an OSU slam dunk contest.
Dwon Odom was the only Hurricane in double figures with 12.
Braeden Carrington added nine on 3-of-7 3 point shooting, but as a team TU shot 20.8% from the 3-point line, 36.2% from the field and just 8-of-15 from the foul line.
When we take care of the basketball and get shots so much good comes from that, TU coach Eric Konkol said.
Even if you shoot poorly, say sub 40%, but if those turnovers are cut in half thats a good number of points put on the board and points taken away from them..
