On Sunday, his son Chase, a 3-star quarterback recruit from the class of 2025, announced his commitment to play at Michigan.

The news prompted a sincere Instagram post from Kirk, who shared his excitement and encouragement for his son."I'm so proud of you, Chase! Congratulations on this incredible opportunity," he wrote.

"I look forward to watching you continue to grow and develop at Michigan .

Keep grinding!!" Standing at around 6-foot-2 and weighing roughly 190 pounds, Chase operated a pro-style offense at Saint Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, which showcases versatility under center and out of the shotgun.

His style aligns with Michigans offensive system , which pairs a power run game with 2022 MVP of the 2022 Big Ten Championship Game, Donovan Edwards , with efficient quarterback play.

In addition to the Wolverines, he reportedly fielded offers from Ohio State , Notre Dame , and North Carolina.

Records from On3 indicate Chase made three unofficial visits to Notre Dame and one to Ohio State before ultimately deciding on Michigan.
