In what seemed like was going to be a ho-hum second week of the college football season turned into anything but.

Just ask Northern Illinois, which beat No.

5 Notre Dame in South Bend last Saturday in one of the biggest college football upsets in recent memory.

Oh, and the Huskies got paid $1.4 million to do it.

Theres never a shortage of college football craziness, thats for sure.

There are some interesting matchups on the docket this weekend, as FrontPageBets takes a look at its top three games, including an SEC-Big Ten matchup between No.

4 Alabama and Wisconsin, as well as a Top 25 matchup with No.

24 Boston College heading to No.

6 Missouri.

Oh, and No.

1 Georgia hits the road to face Kentucky in Lexington in an SEC showdown.

For the first time under new head coach Kalen DeBoer, No.

4 Alabama will play on the road.

And it wont be easy for the undefeated fourth-ranked Crimson Tide as they head to Camp Randall to face Wisconsin (2-0) at noon Saturday (FOX).

While Alabama is favored by more than two touchdowns, this game could be a lot closer than that ...

and definitely more physical.

Heisman Trophy hopeful Jalen Milroe leads the Tide at quarterback, throwing for 394 yards and five touchdowns through two games this season wins over Western Kentucky and USF.

Milroe has also rushed for 81 yards and four scores.

Miami transfer Tyler Van Dyke leads Wisconsin, and his impact has been immediate, already throwing for more than 400 yards combined in wins over South Dakota and Western Michigan.

Complementing Van Dyke is senior running Chez Mellusi for the Badgers, who has already run for 134 yards on 35 carries and three touchdowns.

But Alabama is just too athletic and just too good, even on the road.

Alabama vs.

Wisconsin Predictions for Sept.

14 Boston College earned a signature win to open the season, beating then-No.

10 Florida State, 28-13, in Tallahassee on Labor Day.

The Eagles followed that up with a 56-0 shellacking of Duquesne last week.

Now they find themselves in the Top 25 and headed to Missouri for a showdown with one of the SECs and nations best defenses.

Kickoff is slated for 12:45 p.m.

Saturday (SEC Network).

In fact, Missouri hasnt given up a point this season, beating Murray State 51-0 in Week 1 and then Buffalo 38-0.

Of course, those two programs arent SEC or even ACC caliber competition.

However, pitching two shutouts in a row is impressive.

The Tigers are also ranked first in the nation in total defense, giving up just 254 total yards.

Theyll show why against Boston College Boston College vs.

14 Speaking of great defenses, top-ranked Georgia isnt too shabby either.

The Bulldogs, picked to win this years national championship, which would be their third in the last four years, have given up 6 total points through two games, including just 3 points to then-No.

14 Clemson in the season opener.

Georgia is also giving up just 161 yards per game and less than 3.3 yards per play.

Kentucky is an enigma.

The Wildcats (1-1) opened the season with a 31-0 win over Southern Miss, but fell flat last week against South Carolina in a 31-6 loss.

Mark Stoops UK defense is good, ranked eighth in total defense, giving up less than 200 yards per game.

But offensively, the Wildcats are ranked 125th out of 133 teams in total offense, averaging 250 yards per game.

That aint going to cut it against this Georgia defense.

However, the Wildcats defense could keep this from being a blowout when they face off at 7:30 Saturday night in Lexington (ABC).
