Bossier Parish to host Decari Markray Classic basketball tournament at Billy Montgomery Gym

The classic will feature four NJCAA Division I teams, two from Region IX, BPCC and Navarro and two from Region 23 in Delgado Community College and Baton Rouge Community College.

Two games will tip off the classic on Monday with Baton Rouge CC facing Navarro Delgado at 5 p.m.

and BPCC playing Delgado at 7 p.m.

Two NJCAA games start off Tuesdays action with Navarro playing Delgado at 11 a.m.

followed by BPCC and Baton Rouge at 1 p.m.

A pair of high school games culminate the classic with Doyline and Plain Dealing playing at 5:30 p.m.

followed by Bossier High playing Evangel Christian at 7:30 p.m.

The classic was started in Nov.

2022 to honor former Doyline High School and Bossier Parish Community College standout Decari Markray who was killed in an automobile accident in Oct.

2021.
