It was a match between two teams aiming to qualify for the prefectural tournament.

Holy Cross ranked 6th in the Division II Power Rankings, while Willow School finished 4th in the Division III Power Rankings.

The strength of both sides was shown when Willow School scored a second half goal to draw Holy Cross 2–2 at Lions Den.

The Tigers were leading 2–1 on the strength of goals from Andrew Turro and Grayson Saakavich.

It was the second consecutive draw for the Holy Cross, who drew 1-1 at St Thomas More on Wednesday. The Tigers (14-2-4) face another very tough matchup Tuesday at 7pm Ben He Franklin. The Falcons are #1 in the Division II Power Rankings.

Lyons (11-3-3) will host Kenner Discovery on Wednesdays at 7pm.

In girls action, Sacred Heart Academy and Newman tied 1-1.

After a scoreless first half, Anne Chawla outscored the Greenies 1–0, with Carolina Mehaffey equalizing late.

Sacred Heart is No. 7 on the latest LHSAA Division III Power Rankings, while Newman is No. 4 on the Division IV Power Rankings.

Cardinals (10-5-3) return to action with Pope John Paul II on Tuesday at 5pm

The Greenies (13-4-5) move to Country Day on Wednesday at 5pm.
