There might not be a bigger star in professional wrestling today than Roman Reigns, but the clock could be ticking for how much longer it will last.
And that might have more to do with Reigns desire to keep going in the ring than his ability to remain a star.
Reigns, 41, is a former college football standout at Georgia Tech, and he has battled leukemia.
So, there is some wear and tear on his body, and he has also openly kept an eye on activities, such as acting, outside of wrestling.
It probably should not surprise folks to hear that he is contemplating hanging it up in the squared circle sooner rather than later.
That is something he opened up on during an appearance on Nightcap at Fanatics Fest.
I definitely have a few more years in what Im doing now, the Tribal Chief said.
I guess it just depends on what the schedule would look like.
And youve seen other performers.
You know, I just talked to Undertaker a few minutes ago and he was like, Im working more than I did in the past 10 years.
Because he had a very nice schedule, but he put in a lot of work to get to that point.
I guess it just depends on what the outside projects look like, but I definitely feel comfortable with a couple to three more years of just elite level top performance, he continued.
Im still in my prime.
I still feel very good.
I think it just gets to the point of where do I want to put my attention? I have a lot of children.
I want to be able to give back that time to my wife that she sacrificed while Ive chased this dream.
So, I think in three years or so, well be able to figure out exactly what I want to do and what are going to be the variables that make me do that.
You know, do I want to ..
hows my body feeling? Where am I at mentally? Where am I at spiritually? Wheres my family at? Where are my children at? What are they doing? Whats the schedule look like for them? So, well see.
But I still feel good, yall.
